Job description
This varied role will include:
- Acting as first point of contact: managing correspondence, phone calls and email
- Diary management: organising meetings, appointments and acting as gatekeeper to the manager
- Travel management: booking travel - train, plane tickets etc. and accommodation
- Reminding the manager in good time of upcoming appointments and deadlines
- Liaising with staff, suppliers and customers
- Working on the shop floor to cover leave, illness as required
- Maintaining open lines of communication and keeping the manager abreast of all relevant activity
- Book keeping data entry
- Miscellaneous tasks: personal and business requirements will need to be managed as they arise
The ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable however those with a strong office/administrative background will be considered
- Highly organised
- Keen eye for detail
- Strong communicator: both spoken and written
- Fluent English
- A second language, ideally German, is an advantage
- Confident in supplier, customer and management engagements
- Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a cool mind under pressure
- Works well within a small team and also independently
- Strong PC skills
